“THE WING WORKS”

“Rick, I wanted to let you know how well the wing works.  I really didn't expect it to do much at low speeds and at higher speeds I was afraid it would cause understeer.  I was wrong on both.

The best way I can describe it is that it feels like a brand-new set of tires, only better.  In even 30mph corners I can tell that I'm going faster and I can pick up the throttle much sooner without breaking the rear tires loose.  In the higher speed corners (top of second and bottom of 3rd) the car is just planted. And really no understeer at all.

On Saturday I had top time of the day. On Sunday Tom B. showed up with a Porsche GT3 RS and was 0.7 seconds ahead of me. Kyle O. in the Unplugged Tesla who has been beating me by .25 to 1.0 second was 0.5 seconds behind.  And Guy, who is usually even with me, was 1.0 second behind.

 I can finally use the extra power the turbo gives me.  The car is really fun to drive now.  I'm guessing that it's .75 - 1.0 second faster than it was before the wing.”
